The largest recreational complex in Citrus County, at 290-acres the Whispering Pines City Park brims with outdoor activities. This park is free and open to the public, and is open from dawn to dusk.

Splash Pad
This interactive water zone located near the playground. It is open seasonally when weather is over 70 degrees from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Pickleball Courts
There are two courts available at first come, first serve basis. Courts are lighted for evening play.

Hiking and Biking Trails
Trails of varying lengths stretch through 290 acres of forest with parking, water fountains and restroom facilities conveniently located throughout the park. Joggers and walkers find the trails to be uniquely refreshing, offering the coolness of forest shade during summer months and the crispness of leaves and pine needles in winter.

Disc Golf
This is an 18-hole disc golf course. Pick up your discs, score cards, map and information about the game are available at the pool office.

The Whispering Pines City Pool Complex features a 25-meter Junior Olympic swimming pool complete with 10 ft. diving well and diving board. Located adjacent is a shallow wading pool for small children. The pool has amenities to include restroom, baby changing stations, water fountains, picnic area and shade structures. 

Pool Daily Fee is $3 for youth and adults, and children four and under are no charge. Monthly, summer and season pool passes are available.
